1. School Withdrawals


If your child is withdrawing from New Haven Public Schools you may let the Office of School Choice & Enrollment know by completing the form below.

Only the Parent or Guardian listed in the student’s educational record (PowerSchool) may submit and withdraw the child from New Haven Public Schools. Please anticipate receiving communication from the Office of School Choice & Enrollment for all form submissions.

Children may be withdrawn if they the parent or guardian attests that they are doing one of the following:

  • Moving to another town of residence and enrolling their child in a CT Public School District.
  • Moving out of Connecticut and enrolling their child in a public school in another state.
  • Moving out of the country.
  • Withdrawing their child from NHPS and enrolling the child in a private or parochial school.
  • Withdrawing their child from NHPS and enrolling the child in a charter school.
  • Withdrawing a child 17 years or older from NHPS and enrolling the child in an adult GED program.
